I just transferred to a new school, and have made a couple friends. They are fun at school, but I don't have anyone to hang out with on the weekends. I'm not sure if you can help, but any advice will be helpful!

I have been through experiences like that as well. When I moved to a new school, lots of people liked me, but I was very lonely on the weekends. Try getting their phone number or their mom's phone number for your mom. If you want to contact them directly, try email. It's slower, but it still works. Also, try involving yourself with extra curricular activities. I started musical theater, and immediately met friends who actually wanted to hang out with me aside from school. Also, don't ignore the girl who is quiet and seems snobby. Introduce yourself, and figure out what her true personality is. Don't take the word of others. If nothing works, school projects are an opportunity to make new friends. If nothing really works, be patient. Sometimes it takes a little longer to make friends and hang out. Good luck!
